In a thrilling match at Roland Garros, Emma Raducanu secured a hard-fought victory over Linda Noskova, coming back from a poor service game to level the score at 2-2. The 19-year-old Briton showed her determination and grit, refusing to take any risks on the slippery surface and instead opting for caution.

Despite being plagued by a back issue that had thrown her participation in the tournament into doubt, Raducanu broke serve in the first game of the match and threatened to move ahead with a 3-0 lead. However, Noskova held off three break points to escape with a gritty hold.

Raducanu's best win on clay yet was a testament to her growing confidence on the surface, having made her top-level debut on clay during Great Britain's Billie Jean King Cup tie against the Czech Republic last month.
